Global Blockchain Organisation launched in Oslo, December 11, 2019

Global Blockchain Organisation, Oslo

Oslo was the venue for the launch of the Global Blockchain Organisation (GBO) on December 11, 2019.  The GBO is an initiative of Alternative Development Organization (ADO) – a not-for-profit organization dedicated to evolving the ideology of the Alternative Development Model (ADM).

The concept behind ADO was inspired by the pioneering strategic partnership of the India-Japan Global Partnership (IJGP).  Chaired and masterminded by Vibhav Kant Upadhyay, the IJGP initiative is widely regarded as the architect of the modern India-Japan relationship. This has led to mega-initiatives like the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC), which was formed to re-establish the industrial culture of India.

ADO envisages blockchain as the empowering backbone of the new ADM framework. The GBO has the ambition to bring together Governments, Corporations, Blockchain Industry Experts, Blockchain Associations and other stakeholders that will shape the future of the blockchain through process, regulation and universal compliance towards Blockchain for Humanity.

Launched by chairman Upadhyay at the event in Oslo, he explained that capitalism in its old fashion was based on the exploitation of the weak by centralized powers.  Under the new ADO vision people would be empowered and not exploited.  “We will create our impact by establishing best practices, technical standards and model regulations for Blockchain adoption by Government and Industry.”

The secretary general of the GBO Ali Kaasab, also spoke at the event.  He emphasized the role of blockchain in underpinning the work of the GBO. “We need blockchain to work for humanity, not the other way around. We shall apply ADM principles in Blockchain applications such as environmental responsibility, energy efficiency and sustainability.

“We will bring together various stakeholders to one platform keeping the interests of humanity at top and create equal opportunity and participation for all through a democratized, distributed and collaborative system.”
