This book may be a useful stocking filler for some one relevant in your life. One thing about many of the advice given, is that there is a lot of common sense and good insights that would be of value to anyone, regardless of their gender. By the way that the book has been targetted it is clearly aiming at a particular gender, but it has perhaps limited itself unnecessarily in terms of the wider potential reachable audience for this book.
With this observation to one side, you can see why it was written, and how it is aiming to help a more widely aware, empowered, and unwilling to put up with anything less than complete respect audience. Very much a #Metoo audience, but here again, perhaps #metoo needs to be gender neutral, many people have suffered from abuse of power and position. This book does a lot to help those who might have been / or are currently experiencing power inequalities, so it does offer value and help.
We would recommend this book to many people, especially those just starting out, but we wouldn’t limit this to a gender based criteria.
